FCA brings the Gospel to students, athletes and teams on campus. But the mission needs to go off campus as well. Consider ...
A whopping 60% of the 36 million students who played organized sports in 2016 were on teams outside of school. Families are increasingly turning to travel ball and tournament teams rather than traditional rec leagues or school teams.
But being on the road every weekend leaves little time for church - for God. Is the time and money a worthwhile investment if souls are being neglected?
Praise God for the launch of FCA Club Baseball in Brevard county!
On the field and outside the foul lines, our players: 1) are poured into by different Christian ministries, 2) give back through local mission work, 3) have a team chaplain and 4) work to sharpen each other as teammates at FCA youth camp.
We aim to help provide these competitive young ballplayers with a growing athletic and spiritual foundation built upon Christ. This opportunity encourages them to emulate the works of Jesus Christ on and off the field while they work towards playing at the next level.
Our Christ-centered, travel baseball team is coached by Jason Arnold and Greg Plecki.
Jason Arnold is the head baseball coach at Eastern Florida State College. He was a two-time All-American at UCF, drafted by the New York Yankees, played for the Toronto Blue Jays. He later coached NCAA Division I ball before founding and coaching the Brevard Aces.
Joining Jason in this mission, Greg Plecki is the head assistant coach at Eastern Florida State College. A former Division I and professional ballplayer, he ran the Cape Coast Canes organization and coached with the Brevard Aces and the Evoshield Canes.
Please ask how God is calling you to come alongside us and them to reach the lost. God will use you.
