Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Thank you. And thank you again!
These words seem inadequate to describe my gratitude for our prayer and financial partner’s dedication as we begin our Brevard County FCA ministry! God has been moving and I am so humbled to be a part of what He is doing here; it is truly a blessing to be able to experience this in such an intimate way. I officially resigned from my position as Assistant Principal at Audubon Elementary school, effective May 30th 2014 and began fulltime as the Brevard County Local Missionary for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes June 1st 2014.
It was such an incredible summer! First off, the two FCA camps were incredible. During the FCA Competitors Camp at Lake Yale I had the blessing as serving on the frontlines as a huddle leader. We had nearly 130 athletes attend (15+ from Brevard County) and 50 of them made decisions or recommitments to follow Christ. Praise Jesus!
At the second camp I had the opportunity to serve in a different role, assisting with sports and activities. More than 220 students attended this FCA Leadership Camp held at Southeastern University in Lakeland. It was truly amazing to see God move in such a powerful way in our youth. Over 100 students made decisions or recommitments to follow Christ! Please join me in praying for these students and their growth in Christ.
Locally God has been continuing to open doors for our ministry throughout Brevard County. I have had the opportunity to connect with many of our area coaches and speak at a couple of events to spread the mission of what God is doing here.
I was also blessed to be able to share with the entire congregation at First Baptist Church Melbourne our vision for FCA in Brevard County. God quickly used that opportunity to open more doors. After the second service, I was approached by the Athletic Director at Eastern Florida State College and he said he wanted to do everything that he could to get FCA on his campuses…Praise God! Furthermore, I was approached by the founder of one of the Christian clubs at Florida Institute of Technology about starting a campus FCA. God didn’t stop there…
We have an amazing ministry opportunity to start the first ever youth huddles for the Brevard County Youth Football Association. I had a meeting with Chris Lee, the President of West Melbourne Youth Football, and he was very excited about the vision that we have for reaching the lost for Christ.
God placed a desire on Chris’ heart to reach beyond West Melbourne; Chris scheduled a meeting for me to present the FCA vision for all of the league presidents across Brevard County!!
Indeed this is the start of something…something wonderful. God has His plans in place for this ministry and I am honored and humbled that He has entrusted me to play a role. Thank you for your continued prayers and support of Brevard County FCA.
