FCA All Ability Beep Ball Huddle! ⚾️ This year, the All Ability Sports team stepped up to the plate in a big way with an exciting new adventure: Beep Ball—an adaptive version of baseball designed for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. With a ball that beeps and bases that buzz, players use sound to swing, locate the bases, and field—proving that athleticism knows no boundaries. It all started in the spring with a one-day Beep Ball event after pairing the Women’s Softball team with an incredible visually impaired athlete, for our buddy program at FIT. The day was such a hit, the team said, “Let’s do more!” So in October, we hosted our first Beep Ball Huddle—with huge support from Florida Tech Softball, Florida Tech Baseball, and Merritt Island High School Baseball. The outpouring of community support has been absolutely heartwarming. It’s been inspiring to watch our athletes grow in confidence, build friendships, and discover just how capable they are. Some are even outperforming seasoned college players—thanks to their sharpened hearing and unstoppable determination! ⚾️ Brevard FCA All Ability Sports is thrilled to announce a new Adult Beep Ball Huddle! ⚾️ Beep Ball is an adaptive version of baseball designed for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The game uses a ball that emits a beeping sound and bases that produce tones to help players locate them by sound. Batters listen for the beep of the ball to swing, and fielders use the sound to track and retrieve it. Join us every Friday in October from 3:00–4:00 PM at the Space Coast Field of Dreams for an exciting and inclusive experience. Each session will include: • 30 minutes of skill-building drills • A light snack and brief devotion • A fun, adapted game with two teams Our Huddle Leaders and Buddies will be on hand to support participants throughout the drills and game, helping ensure a safe and enjoyable time for everyone. The 2025-26 school year is in full swing and that means that our campus ministry is back! We sincerely ask for your prayers as we begin this season of ministry. 1. Pray for Huddle Leaders This school year, over 80 Huddle Leaders are stepping up to start and lead a Huddle for their teams. Pray that God would fill them with boldness, courage, and clarity as they share the Gospel with their teammates. 2. Pray for Open Doors on Campuses Last year we saw more than 120 Huddles launched, but there are still many campuses and teams yet to be reached. Pray for open doors, favor with schools and coaches, and opportunities for every team to have a Huddle where Christ is made known. 3. Thank you to all who joined with the Brevard County All Ability Run team in our First Annual participation of the Publix Florida Marathon. It was a wonderful day! The Run Team came together for an incredible race weekend, focused on faith, community, and service. Before sunrise, our team gathered to pray with runners before heading out onto the course. Athletes with disabilities, FCA Endurance runners, buddies, and supporters competed in the 5K, 10K, half, and full marathons. The weekend was a beautiful reminder that our race is not just for a finish line but for a greater purpose - bringing the love of Christ to every athlete, coach, and supporter we meet along the way. #allabilities #fcabrevard #fellowshipchristianathletes
